Members of the Spring 2022 WCU Wind Ensemble will travel to Karlsruhe, Germany to participate in the music festival celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Blasmusikverband Karsruhe e.V.
Ubstadt, Karlsruhe, and Staufen, Germany
All participants with stay in a mix of housing throughout the duration of the program including host families, shared hotel rooms, and dorm rooms.
All participants will be enrolled in Wind Ensemble (AEB 351/551) during the Spring 2022 semester.

Performances in Ubstadt, Karlsruhe. and Staufen, Germany
Bruchsal Palace/German Museum of Mechanical Instruments
Heidelberg and Heidelberg Palace
Hambacher Schloss
Black Forest excursion including Baden-Baden, Memmelsee, and Unimog Museum
All participants will be billed a Program Fee of $1,200 on their WCU Bursar bill which includes airfare, housing accommodations, meals, excursions/activities and in-country transportation. All participants will also be billed a non-refundable $100 study abroad application fee through the WCU Bursar upon applying to the program and will be required to purchase WCU’s mandatory international insurance for the program.
Not included is the cost of passport fees, additional meals not included, and personal spending money. Also not included in the cost of the program and solely the responsibility of the student are are all costs related to COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and/or quarantine (if required at the time of travel).
