Program Description:
A 4 week Art + Design program with 3 weeks in Denmark, Global Art + Design in Copenhagen is an integrated course designed for students to further their academic achievements, develop intercultural understandings and acquire life skills in a global setting. Students will explore the cultural impact of the ideas of mid-20th century “Scandinavian design” and apply those principles to a data visualization that focuses on topics relevant to Denmark’s rich and unique traditions and culture. As an innovator in the fields of sustainability, architecture, and positive psychology, Denmark offers a variety of unique experiences and topics to study. Copenhagen’s unique size and prime location in Scandinavia offers an intimate cosmopolitan atmosphere with the cultural benefits of a major city.
3 days on WCU's Campus and 3 weeks in Copenhagen, Denmark
Students will be housed either in Residential Community or a Kollegium, arranged by our partner, DIS. Housing includes:
• Shared bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities and/or allowance
• Blanket, pillow, bed linen and towels provided
• Internet access
The language of instruction for this program is English. No prior foreign language experience is required.
All participants on this program will be registered for ART 350: Global Art and Design // Copenhagen (3 credit hours).

In addition to the regular WCU tuition rates for the 3 credit hour course, all participants will pay the following fees to WCU: 
Study Abroad Application Fee
Billed through WCU Bursar bill upon application to the program
Program Fee (includes housing, on-site orientation, in-country transportation, and administrative fees)
Paid to WCU post-acceptance to the program
Mandatory WCU International Insurance
Paid to WCU post-acceptance to the program
$35 (estimated)

Items not included in the program fees listed above but that participants should plan for:
Round-Trip Airfare (estimated around $750.00)
Meals (estimated around $600.00 for cooking on premises)
